Monterey Bay Veteran's held there 21st annual fishing derby on April 26,2008 and there were 340 anglers participating on 16 differnt vessels. The derby boats were - Chubascoo & Sur Randy out of Randy's Fishing trips and Star of Monterey & Checkmate out of Chris' Fishing Trips. The Monterey Bay Veterans also had their 52' Freedom that also participated. The days was perfect and warm plus smooth. Everyone caught medium to very large Sand Dabs and some mackerel, that filled their sack to the top. All the 340 participants had a great time and can't wait until the next fishing derby.
