The Wilson jumped up over a foot on Monday night, but had already started to drop as of this report and should be back in shape soon and fish well through the weekend. Fishing has been a little spotty, mostly due to water conditions and lots of high water so far this season. That said there are plenty of early hatchery fish around, and a few brood stock and wild fish are showing up. All the usual techniques such as side drifting, float fishing, and pulling plugs or divers and bait, should be effective.

Anglers are reminded that fall Chinook season closes Dec. 31.
