I fished the Klamath river with my son and clients on the 29th and 30th and we found the fishing to be tough. The guys landed 8 fish over 2 days. We used crawdad plugs and hotshots with worms to catch all our Steelhead/Trout. The water is very cold low 40's, making the fish bit slow to bite. tThe air temperature has been in the 20 to 40 range although, yesterday, was the best day for weather clear skies and no wind. Our area had been hit pretty hard by mother nature the last couple of weeks, so it has made for some tough fishing conditions. Currently, it is sunny, but cold, so the stable weather (barometer) should get the fish biting more. Happy New Year and Fish On!!!
