Catch of the Week: Angler John Huskey from Bakerfield, CA landed this big boy while fishing near the Outlet. It was 5 pound 4 ounce Rainbow and was caught with a Thomas Buoyant.

Other notable catches this week:

Kelly, Carmen and Kingg with a full stringer. The largest was a fat 3 pound 1 ounce Rainbow. They caught their fish from a boat with Powerbait.

Bradin Chung of Irvine, CA landed a fatty 2 pound 12 ounce Rainbow near the Inlet. He was using a Needlefish, so I'm guessing he caught it from a boat.

Jacob and Sammy Peery hooked into a plump 2 pound 10 ounce Rainbow. This was the largest of their stringer. They were fishing at the South Shore with Rainbow Garlic Powerbait.

Rick Vega of Fountain Valley, CA hooked into three nice Rainbows. The largest was 2 pounds 9 ounces. Rick was trolling a Tasmanian Devil.

Kevin Bergamasco of Los Angeles, CA with a solid 2 pound 6 ounce Rainbow. Kevin caught his fish along the South Shore with a Tasmanian Devil.

Tactics/Bait: Some of the top lures were Phoebes, Thomas Buoyants, Roostertails and Tasmanian Devils. Gold and red were the best colors for the lures. Also working great over the last two weeks were Mice Tails. The tops colors with the Mice Tails were brown/red and orange/chartreuse. The most successful Powerbait colors were Rainbow, Peach and Chartreuse. Nightcrawlers like always worked well. The South Shore was the hottest spot this week. Other locations fishing well were the Inlet, North Shore, the Handicap Pier and Hangman's Tree.

Here is a list of other baits/lures that can be productive: Panther Martins, Tasmanian Devils, green or brown Marvel Fly Lures, Kastmasters, NeedleFish, and garlic scent on Powerbait.

Here is a list of recommended flies:

Dry Flies: Adams, Female Adams, Cutter's Caddis, Elk Hair Caddis, Stimulators, Black/Red Ants, Sierra Bright Dot, Royal Coachman and Hoppers.
