Bass fishing remains steady, as most anglers enjoyed limit type action throughout the week. Frogs, buzz baits, spinnerbaits, drop shot, you name it, and they all produced at various times of day. Crappie, and red ear made their presence known off of main lake points, most fish coming in on either red worms, or mini jig/mealworm combos. Catfish are also available for those targeting them on cut mackerel, or chicken livers fished in White Oak, or the swimming pool cove area. Herb and Iris Carter of Bakersfield joined forces to catch a beautiful mixed bag of red ear, crappie, bass, and cats, topped by an approximate 15lb. blue whisker fish. The Carters caught their impressive stringer using "worms under a bobber, near the buoy line."

Slightly cooler air temps have improved the bass bite, as a nice frog bite is beginning to kick in. Largemouth were also taking jigs, drop shot, and blades fished just outside of the grass lines all over the lake.
