Trout fishing seems to be hit and miss this time of year with the warming weather. Though some people still are not having a problem catching them. Most of the Trout caught are in the main body of the lake and in the arms with cool water coming in like up Jackson creek in the back of the lake and in Carson arm with the water inlet from Pardee is located. The last few weeks the Trout have been up to 25ft deep but we had reports of them being caught up to 15ft deep, so anywhere in that range is good fishing. Power Bait is still working best, Mice tails, and Night Crawlers are also good. Many people catching Bass with plastic worms from the rocky points all around the lake. To catch Catfish either use chicken liver or dough balls. Crappie and Blue Gill are still in the warmer waters of the coves and by the structure of the big dock. We have our Carp tournament this coming weekend the 18th and we are still seeing many schools of Carp in the coves chasing fry, so come on out and enjoy using your bow or spear and hopefully catch a monster! The last big one caught was only a 1/2lb away from the state record!! Don't forget to check us out on Facebook for more catches and details!
