Not much has changed here since last week, most bass are suspended about 20’ down in the water column, and have been very difficult to catch. Crappie are also at the same depth, but seem to be a bit more willing to bite than the former. Plummeting water temps have put the bass bite on hold, with most fish suspending in 15’ to 25’ of water. Only a handful of fish were reported, most of which came on small swim baits. Crappie action has also slowed, although one group of anglers did manage around a 1/2 dozen decent slabs off of Mackey point. Small tubes and spinners were the top baits.
