The water temperature was 79 F. The bass bite heated up last week with some of the lakes larger fish going on the chew. Fish to 8.5 lbs were reported as well as solid numbers of fish in the 2lb to 4lb range. Jigs, crankbaits, senkos, as well as poppers, and frogs all hot bit. Crappie have been hit or miss, and last Wed. anglers reported wide open action on crappie to 2.25 lbs on feather jigs tipped with a crappie nibble. The docks in the White Oak area, as well as near the bouy line of the dam were the top locations for the slabs. Catfish also made their presence known in White Oak, inflated crawlers, and cut mackerel the top offerings. A handful of nice red-ear showed off of Tule Island point on red worms.

Bass fishing has been fair early on frogs, and poppers, jigs and dropshot. Windy days have been the most productive. Crappie action slowed down some from last week, although there were still some quality slabs checked in at the marina. Water Temp:80.5 The bass bite was day to day last week, with windy days producing the best action. Frogs and jigs have been obtaining the best results, and fish to 6lbs were reported. The lakes crappie population made a good showing as well in the White Oak are, as some anglers had up to a dozen slabs on mini jigs/ meals worm combos.
