Eastern Sierra Fishing is still going on, and I can't believe the amount of fish coming out of the waters in the Virginia Lakes Canyon.

Skies are overcast from the offshore winds from the So Cal fires and it is dismal to see the mountains sitting in a haze of smoke.?? This should improve shortly, and get the fish off their butts to hit the red/gold Bouyants, and they are coming out with a fury.?? Vince Moronez of Azusa took a nice 3lb 10oz brooder on a work, and Tim Healey of Newport Beach also took a 5lb brooder on a Lip Ripper.?? Tim's nephew Reece Healey age 6 was using green power bait and a pink power worm and caught a nice 3 pounder, and a 4lb 10oz DFG bow, what a kid.?? Also Andrew Langoria of Rancho Murietta caught a nice 4lb 4oz bow on a red/gold Buoyant.?? It just keeps getting better.

The season is open for another 18 days, and it will be interesting to see what transpires.?? I'll be out there doing my research and will report anything new and blue?Ķsee you on the water, carolyn.

The baby bear has been sitting on my railing (2x4) eating bird food, so that tells you that there is very little for them to eat during these last days of the season. ...... Read More

Chad, Here's my "timely" report for the week. The weather was very uncooperative in getting "trout" into the mood. But suddenly, as if in spurred by some unnamed source, they came alive today. Todd & Bev Tanaka of La Habra hit the right combination of flies to bring in 4 trophy fish ranging from 4 3/4 lbs to 5 3/4 lbs on Olive Matuka's, and Olive and Black wooly buggers from tubes on Little Virginia. Dennis Boorsman and family...... Read More
